FloriCore Alerting converts alarm SMS from water-level stations, alarm systems and technical equipment into a phone call chain with voice announcement and key-press acknowledgement – until someone has verifiably confirmed the alarm.
The problem
A text message at 3 a.m. reaches no one.
Many devices report faults and alarms exclusively via SMS: water-level and flood measuring stations, intrusion and fire alarm systems, UPS and refrigeration units, elevator emergency systems, IoT sensors. A text message is easily missed – and worse: nobody notices that it reached no one. A phone call that escalates until someone verifiably confirms closes exactly this gap.
How it works
From SMS to confirmed alarm in three steps
- Point your SMS at us
Your device sends its alarm SMS to your personal FloriCore alarm number. No hardware, no changes to the device – just a target number.
- The call chain starts
Within seconds the configured people are called – one after another or simultaneously, with retries and escalation. The content of the SMS is read out as a voice announcement (currently in German).
- Acknowledged with key 1
Once a person confirms the alarm on the phone, the chain stops immediately. Time and person are logged; optional e-mails go out in addition.

Frequently asked questions
How can I turn an SMS into a phone call?
Your device (water-level station, alarm system, UPS, sensor) sends its alarm SMS to your personal FloriCore alarm number. Within seconds this starts a phone call chain: the configured people are called one after another or simultaneously and hear the content of the SMS as a voice announcement.
Does this work with my device?
Yes, if your device can send an SMS to a freely configurable mobile number. No additional hardware and no changes to the device are required — you simply store the FloriCore alarm number as the SMS target. Only sender numbers you register may trigger an alarm.
What happens if nobody answers?
The call chain escalates automatically: configurable retries per person, then the next person — or several people simultaneously. The chain keeps running until someone confirms the alarm on the phone by pressing key 1.
What if someone answers but does not confirm?
The chain never stalls: the schedule is a fixed timetable. If the callee does not react (e.g. accidental pickup), escalation continues automatically after the configured window until someone confirms with key 1.
How fast is the first call?
The first call usually starts within a few seconds after the SMS arrives. The call-chain schedule is deterministic and visible in the portal at any time.
What does the service cost?
€42.90 per month plus VAT — including your own alarm number, 10 alarm activations per year, 5 test alarms per year and the self-service portal. Each additional alarm costs €2.90 plus VAT. No setup fee, cancellable monthly.
Is the service GDPR-compliant?
Yes. Operations and hosting in Germany, data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) available electronically in the portal, documented deletion periods, audit log, two-factor sign-in and passkeys for the portal. Voice announcements are currently spoken in German.
Can several people be called simultaneously?
Yes. Recipients sharing the same order number are called at the same time — for example three people in parallel for urgent cases. As soon as one person confirms with key 1, the chain stops for everyone.
